Droid razr HD got splashed by wave. green light when i plug it in? no power?

I was on a john boat today at the beach and of course some jerk comes flying by in a HUGE boat in a no wake zone. long story short. I huge wave flew over the john boat and soaked me. filled the boat with 12 to 14 inches of water. my phone was in my pocket and was about to die anyway. I was really mad. I waited till I got home and stuck it on the charger. its showing a green light but will not power on, I tried the volume up and down plus power button method but the green light just flickers off and on, no power. would this be because my phone got wet for a hole 5 seconds? thanks so much.

Welcome to Android Central! If there was some water in the phone and you charged it without trying to dry out the phone as much as you could, you likely fried something.
