I just wrote what seemed like a book to someone and when I pressed send, it only sent a part of it and the rest of the text is no longer there nor in another message, I thought it would at least separate my message into different parts, not delete it.. is there any way for me too get it back without having to rewrite everything over again? On the iPhone, I know you could shake your phone and it would ask "undo"?

Which phone do you have? The standard size for sms is 160 characters. Some phones will manage to split bigger messages and send them separately. Some other phones will just stop at 160 and you'll lose the rest. You could try with a different messaging app.

With big messages the best thing to do could be using a note taking app first and the copy & paste. This way nothing will be lost.
