mym iunlocked phone powers up in a language I don't understand, how can I switch to english?

The phone is a LG-H815 and it powers up in a foreign language.

Welcome to Android Central! What language is it? You need to go to Settings>Language & Input and change the system language. The Language & Input category often distinguished by a letter "A" icon, so it might be easy to spot. System Language should be the first option--select it, and scroll down to select English (or whichever language you prefer).
