Why does Internet Exploer close when I try to copy pics to computer from LG G3?

Just today, I was transferring pictures from my LG G3 onto the computer. We have Windows 7. The folder froze when I clicked on one & tried to cut and past it to my external hard drive. Then, a pop up told me Internet Explorer has stopped working and another popped up saying it was restarting, then the LG G3 folder and the external hard drive folder close when the pop up disappears. This seems to happen mostly when videos are involved. Internet Explorer was never opened on the computer. What's the deal?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you sure it said "Internet Explorer"? It probably said "Windows Explorer," which is the file explorer. Try rebooting your computer and seeing if it happens again. Also, make sure your computer is fully up to date--go to the Control Panel>Windows Update.
