i just had my verizon phone switched to cricket so i now have a cricket sim card instead of my verizon one. after the salesperson finished, i got a notification saying, "SIM card is not from Verizon.." (including those 2 periods). is this anything that i should be worried about?

No, the phone is unlocked (which it needs to be to accept a non-Verizon SIM card), it's just letting you know that the card isn't a Verizon one. I think there was a post recently with a method of eliminating the notification.
