How can I fix my galaxy s5 "overheating" issues?

A

AC Question

The other day my s5 got wet (I know, really stupid), but it still worked nicely. I left it over night in rice and vacummed it at the other day, and everything works fine. A day later I started getting these overheating messages that caused my galaxy to block my apps or turned my s5 off. I checked in cpu-z and in thermal, exynos, it said 70-80 celsius degrees! I know that is wrong because my cellphone´s screen didn´t felt like it, or the interior of it. I downgraded my software from lollipop to kitkat, and i have the same issue. I need to know how can I fix it or if it is better too ship it to samsung.

Welcome to Android Central! It's always difficult to predict what might get damaged by water exposure. Perhaps some temperature sensor got zapped, and is misreporting the temperature.

If you ship it to Samsung, they won't cover any repairs under warranty, since it's water damage.
