How to retrieve images accidentially deleted off Motorola Droid Turbo

Can I download an app directly to my phone to accomplish this? I only have access to a MacBook (no PC) and I have been unable to figure out how to use my MacBook Pro to accomplish this. It appears as if the programs I have seen to perform this rescue all are PC programs. Any input, direction or thoughts on how to retrieve these images from my Droid using a Mac OS is greatly appreciated. Thank you
