    Hi,

I intend to buy the Galaxy S6 in the UK but I will use a brazilian SIM card on it. Can the european model work with a non european SIM card?

    Thank you!

Welcome to Android Central! It shouldn't matter if the SIM is European or not. What matters is if the mobile network that the SIM uses is compatible with the phone's radio bands. You need to compare the phone's bands with the ones that the Brazilian network uses--if there's no overlap, it won't work.

I think Samsung's Region Lock still applies, where you need to make 5 minutes of calls with a local sim (there may be other temporary restrictions).

If you are visiting the UK to buy, that shouldn't be difficult.
