Can't get past 'To start Android, enter your password' screen

A

AC Question

My kid had my phone to watch some tv until the battery died. When it was fully charged I turned it on just to be told again and again to 'Try again' every time I type in my password.

Upon asking her, she said she 'just pressed some green buttons on my phone.. up and down..' (no clue what that means)

Have spoken to Samsung Support but they couldn't help. I can't do anything. Any ideas? Thanks.

It's a Galaxy S4 on Lollipop..

Thanks Leo, but it's not the Lock Screen. It's the first screen after you turn the phone on and the only other option is Emergency Calls. As I've said, I've talked to Samsung Support and we've been through the Android Manager and the Samsung Account but they don't work when the phone is off, which it essentially is.

Hi

Apologies, for commenting on a old thread but I struggling with the same issue. Has anyone managed to figure it out yet. I've tried the reboot, removing battery, waited a couple of hours even but still same issue. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
