My HTC Sensation XE cant use keyboard on password request

So basically, whenever I try to type in my password, the keyboard won't come up. I've already tried safe mode and hard reboot. Are there any other methods beside resetting the phone?

Welcome to Android Central! Is it an alphanumeric password, or a numeric PIN? You could try connecting a USB keyboard via an OTG cable.

It's alphabetical. I could use a USB but do not have an adaptor.

They're pretty cheap. I just bought one from Fry's Electronics for $1.25.

Sorry, but I'm not sure there are any other options besides doing a factory reset. This kind of thing seems to happen more often on some of the budget or midrange LG phones, but I see you have an HTC.
