My new Galaxy Tab A is chiming while charging. Why?

I just got it today and it is chiming every few seconds while charging. Is it supposed to and is it going to be this annoying every time I charge it?

Welcome to Android Central! How securely is the cable plugged into the device, or into the wall? Watch the battery icon closely while it's charging--does the lightning bolt disappear occasionally, then appear again? And if so, does the chime occur when it appears again? If the connection is loose, the chime might be due to the reestablishment of the connection and the resumption of charging.
