Want to separate ringer bluetooth volume from the media BT volume when listeneing to Samsung Note 4.

I think I had this same problem with my Samsung Note 2 but while I have different slider controls to change the volume of ringer and media, when it is playing something (music, podcast, etc.) through my bluetooth speaker at work, once the phone rings, the ringer volume is blaring through the BT speaker (playing at the same volume as the media that it cuts off). I assume this is a function of the phone and not a setting of the audio app (i.e., play ringer through app) or the phone/bluetooth settings (i.e., play ringer through bluetooth). I have tried one app and looking at others, but the app (Bluetooth Volume by Nightshade Labs) did not make any difference.
