Galaxy s4 not connecting to wifi. see's the network and says saved and secured.

have tried downloading apps ops but says need to root first. tried to do that but doesn't work

Forget the network, then try to connect to it. (If you've connected to another router with the same name, but with different security or a different password, it won't connect to your router. Security and password go with the signal's name.)
