Stop Flipboad updating Samsung A3

A

AC Question

I bought an A3 2 days a go. I'm struggling with it. I got a pay as you go sim yesterday. Today I found I'd triggered Flipboard without realising. It's updating all the time with news. I don't want it. The chap in the shop uninstalled it today. But now I'm home I find I still have the news feeds updating, even .though Flipboard is no longer showing in the apps.

Can anyone tell me how to get ring of it or shut it off please?

Thank you
Gordon

You can't delete system apps until you root your device. But you can disable them. For disabling you should go to Settings > Device > Apps and find the app that you want to remove. Select Force stop and then Disable — you won’t be able to delete the app, but it will stop running on your phone, never to be seen again until you perform a factory reset.
