My Samsung Galaxy S4 is stuck on Android Version 4.4.2

I keep trying to check for android updates but it says it's up to date. My Friend's Samsung Galaxy S4 is the exact same model as mine and his phone is already on Android version 5.0.1 we're both Sprint users.
