Clip tray is not pasting correctly?

So, obviously, when you copy some text, it saves onto the clip tray. Except lately, when I go through my clip tray to paste something from a few days ago, it just pastes a "v". No matter what it is, even if I write gibberish and go to the clip tray to paste it, it just pastes "v" and that's it. I really want to know what's going on because I need to paste tags on Instagram and in the comments, it doesn't allow you to copy - only delete. Now I know I could just paste the tags in the captions, but that is besides the point. Why isn't text pasting correctly from the clip tray?

Welcome to AC.

I haven't heard of that and can't think of a likely fix. Try a Cache Partition wipe. If no go, get back to us.

Same here. I have the lg stylo and everytime I go to paste from my clip tray it's just a V. I did the cache wipe and didn't fix it.

In case anyone still struggles with the clip tray resulting in pasting a "V" instead of your copied text. All you need to do is delete the "V" and select paste again.
