I only use google. get emails etc when I am at home and use my home wifi. I can't seem to use these services unless a wifi is available.

Greetings and welcome to Android Central!

Just curious to know if you have a cellular data plan? If so, then: Settings > Data usage > Mobile data

Enable your Mobile data. Hope you find what you're seeking to secure and enjoy!

If you have a mobile dataplan but aren't able to access mobile data it might be because you are using an unlocked device but don't have the proper APN for your data.

What carrier do you have? What device do you have?

If you register and provide more information, members will be able to help you with the proper APN settings for your carrier.
