Why does my phone say its 2011?

I took the battery out of my galaxy s3 mini today to get the microSD card out, and when I put it back in, the phone says its December 31, 2011 and won't connect to the internet. I have taken the battery out again, as well as the SIM card, and I've rebooted it several times, but nothing has worked.

Ensure your APN settings are correct and set the date & time to pull automatically.
