Is there a display virus going around on my Sprint Galaxy s6 ?

When I look at the screen display there is a "shade" over the app icons. This shade looks like a large ink blot and appears to be growing. It began about 8hrs ago with some lost of screen down the right side of the display.
The functionality of my touchscreen works, i can see movement when I manipulate the touchscreen. I have not been able to do a hard shutdown because I can't see enough behind the ink bot shade. Virus or defect?

I have not heard of any virus that acts like that.
I would say something happen to the phone.
Do you have warranty, are you within the 14 days period so you can return it?
Have you dropped the phone?
