How can i fix a blank screen on my Samsung Galaxy S3?

The screen on my Samsung Galaxy S3 is not working. It charges, but i can't see the battery life or anything at all. It still registers touches, but the screen is blank. I dropped it a while back and the screen cracked, but it was working perfectly fine up until now. I need help, because i have ALLLLL my music on this phone. It also has no service. What can i do to fix it? I really need help.

With a screwdriver punch the battery in the coldest spot.
