Just bought an Acer Z220 that runs on Android 5 (Lollipop). However when I connect it to the computer to charge tmy XP doesn't recognize it as a USB device. The only two choices on the phone are to connect as - Media Device (MTP) and Camera (PTP). This makes me worried as when I want to disconnect the phone from the computer I feel like I am simply yanking the phone off as opposed to doing it in a safe to remove environment.
    Any suggestions, please? Thanks!!

Welcome to Android Central! Connecting as MTP or PTP doesn't require "Ejecting" prior to disconnecting. That's only if you're connected as a USB Mass Storage device.
