Just purchased this Huawei Ascend Mate 2. Loaded a gmail acct. but also have a bellsouth.net acct. I cannot get the phone to load the bellsouth email. I have put in all the codes as listed by att online yet the phone won't accept it. The Message I get is: Unable to Connect --Setup failed. Reasons may be the user name or password is incorrect. The POP3/SMTP service is disabled. Enable the service and try again. For more information, contact your email provider."
The problem is I purchased the phone from Consumer Cellular who cannot help me and referred me to ATT and they only gave me a website address with all their codes which I already had. But since the phone was not purchased through them they will not try to help me either. We have landline and DSL with ATT.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what did you do? The person who posted an earlier email with the att codes - those are the same codes I have used today without any luck.
Any help is appreciated!
