    I have a Galaxy 6S. When my phone is "asleep" how do i get my screen to light up with a preview when I receive a text message.

    Open the messaging app settings and look for the notifications. There should be something there that will allow you to wake the device when a message is received. Globally, you should also be able to do this from system settings > display.
