How could I root my Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4?

My Verizon Note 4 has been absolutely god awful since the most recent Lollipop update. I have received the patch for the update but it is only on android version 5.0.1 What I would ideally like to do would be to downgrade to KitKat 4.4.4 and then root my phone so that I could remove bloatware as well; but I would need a walk-through or directions to do so. If I would do this and root my phone would I still receive the automatic push notifications from Samsung and Verizon to Upgrade to Lollipop?

Unfortunately since you have a Verizon galaxy note 4 the bootloader is locked which makes it impossible to root until someone on xda-developers finds a way around and its been almost a year and still now work around... I feel your pain. I have the same phone and carrier and would love to root mine! :-/
