How much is the apps consuming from my phone storage?

When checking the storage status through settings, the list is showing as 8.76 GB but the list which appears after selecting 'Make more space' option shows apps are using only 2.41 GB. Its very strange to me. Anyone having any solution to this or can explain the reason? In the first list 'others' occupying 5.42 GB. Is not it high? Any solution or reason will be appreciated.

Hello. I am not familiar with a device with a Make more Space option, but it could be a brand I am not familiar with.

If you could post a screenshot of your storage page, and let us know what device you are using.

The available space, full or not, is obviously accounting for the operating system space separately, which you may know.

There are file explorer apps like ES File Explorer, if you don't have a built-in app.

Try to Clear CACHED DATA or just check what MISC data you have , many aren't necessary but eat up space , so just delete them, this can clear up to 5GB at times
