Why does Spacebar print a character?

On my Samsung model SM-G318H when I use the spacebar it prints the letter v (underlined) also the clear/del button prints an L. On the spacebar it reads Engilsh (UK).
I only have two choices in Language and input menu i.e. Samsung Kbd and Google Voice typig. Can you advise how to get it to normal. It a new phone and I'm not familiar with samsung. Thank You.

I always install SwiftKey Keyboard as one of the first apps on a new phone. I think it's better than the Samsung keyboard. (And it should give you a space for the spacebar and and backspace one character if you tap the backspace key.)
