S6 auto-retrieve off but still receiving mms

[AC Question]

Hey all, I'm new here but not to android. I recently picked up a Galaxy S6 (like yesterday recently). Due to safety and data usage concerns, I always have my mobile devices set to NOT automatically retrieve mms. So I set up the S6 to do this as well. However, it doesn't seem to have any effect. The phone still receives mms even though data and wifi are disabled and the auto-retrieve option is unchecked. the only thing I can think of is that all the devices I have attempted to send pictures TO the s6 FROM are all galaxy devices and all appear in my list of known contacts. Am I missing something here? Also, I noticed that the same thing is occurring on my older S4. It is also receiving mms pictures with mobile turned off and auto-retrieve disabled. I called att, and Samsung and neither of them could tell me anything. Thanks in advance.

GO SMS turned out to be the culprit.
