I'm using a Verizon nano Sim I was using in an S6 Edge before. It knows the Sim card is there but I have no connection at all. The sim works on the edge but it won't give service on the m9. Is there a way to fix this I really don't want to have to get rid of this nice phone.

What carrier is the M9 originally from?

The m9 was unlocked from the start.

Unfortunately that device isn't compatible with Verizon's network. http://www.htc.com/us/go/htc-one-unlocked-developer/

Yes, if you plan to stay with Verizon.
