Why is Google Search looking like this?

In normal tabs in Chrome on Samsung Galaxy S4, the layout id like the Google logo with a search bar on the right. However, in incognito mode, whether I'm signed in or not, Google looks strange like a modern mobile phone site. Why is this happening? The photo is the one that looks like a modern mobile site.

Is just Google updating the way Google Search looks it looks exactly the same on my phone. Is just a way to improve the mobile experience of Google Search, probably preparing for the way Google Search is going to work with Android M is not big deal.

I liked the old version a lot better. I tried going to Google on UC Browser on my Nokia Lumia with the iPhone layout, and it showed the updated version. However, when I used the Android layout, it showed the old version.
