I have done a ton of research on tablets, and looked at all the most recent articles, and i have gotten my choices narrowed down to 6.
The tablet will only be used for media consumption like reading books, facebook, netflix, and downloading movies to watch offline. It will primarily be used offline.
I am not big into rooting or anything like that. Im concerned with data storage because like i said, it will primarily be used offline, but if 16 gigs is enough for a few movies and i can replace them every few days, then that will be okay.
I want to be able to continue using the tablet for 2 years or so once i buy it, so obviously i would prefer a tablet that will still get support after 2 years.
I understand that since phones are getting bigger, 7" tablets are kind of getting less useful, but i also would like to stay under $200. I will stave up if i have to for the shield or the ipad if it is worth it though.
The tablets im choosing between are:
Amazon HDX 7"
Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4" (at bestbuy for $200)
iPad mini 2
Lenovo tab 2 a10 (now $200 on amazon)
