I had an app called notebook and I wrote a lot on there. My phone decided to swan dive off of a counter and the screen cracked on the inside so I can't see anything at all. When I press the power button though, I see a small light change on the screen so I can tell that only the screen is broken. I really wanted to get the stories off of the app so I connected the phone to my computer and it only charged it. Then I tried putting in the sd card and it didn't have my app data because the app wasn't on the sd card. I just want to know if it is possible to get them off of the phone without the use of my phone screen?

Sounds like you don't have any control of your screen. You need it to switch to MPT mode so your computer can communicate with the phone. Best I can think of (besides replacing screen/digitizer) is calling your carrier to see if they can help you transfer your data. Worth a shot.
