How do I get my photos off Galaxy Gear without pairing it to a phone?

I had a note 3, paired it with my gear, but then the note 3 broke. It has since been replaced, but I cannot pair it with my watch without losing the photos already on the watch. (I took the photos after my first note 3 broke.)

Anyone have any ideas? I hadn't realised Samsung had gone so Apple in their disregard for end user autonomy!
