LG G Pad 7.0 has wifi connectivity issues after latest update, suggestions?

Wifi ran at blazing speeds before latest android system update. Now I can't even pull 1.0mbps...no other issues with any other device. Wifi is not the problem. Cleared app cache and turned auto-sync off. Tab has never been dropped or damaged. Could it be a virus? What's the best virus detector/remover?

Welcome to Android Central! Does this happen on any wi-fi network, or only your home network? Did you try rebooting the router?

Happens on every network I access...only started after latest system update. Worked perfectly until then. Last resort is complete reboot...but like I said, its a last resort

It's not connecting via proxy, is it?
