Device protection tripped. How do I reset it?

Hi, I bought a used LG G4 H815 on Swappa. When I powered it on and went through setup I was stopped by message "This device was reset. To continue login with a Google account that was previously synced with this device"

I cannot get passed this. Any help is appreciated.

Return it. The previous owner ought to have taken care of that. Make sure the seller was the rightful owner.
