    Here is some background:

I play a swiping game and I have these smudges that are on the screen. When the screen is clean I can barely see them but they won't come off. The only thing I can think of is that I had some oily residue (probably from the moisturizing lotion I have to use for my legs because of diabetes) on my fingers and I played the game.

I can't get it off. When I clean the screen, the liquid kind of highlights the area until it dries. I have used just a cloth, a rubbing alcohol swab and other various cleaners and it is not doing anything to it.

    Any suggestions?

    Welcome to AC.

You may have rubbed off part of the oleophobic coating, if that phone has that. Applying a screen protector may be the most practical answer.
