    just got a nexus 5 turned on updated google now waiting for the wi-fi to turn on. At prsent phone just sitting there with "Turning Wi-Fi on" message

    tried a reboot still the same

    Welcome to Android Central! It shouldn't take more than a couple of seconds. Is this a brand new Nexus 5, or did you get it used? Have you tried a factory reset?

    Usually it takes a few seconds, but could depend on your router.
