Why won't my phone turn on?

[AC Question]

I have a HTC desire 601 and yesterday my phone was working fine until the battery died when I was out. When I got home, I plugged it and tried turning it on once it had enough charge, but I couldn't get it to turn on. I thought that maybe it just didn't have enough power and decided to check in the morning. However when I tried turning it on, it wouldn't work and the LED light that shows when its charging wasn't on. I took out the battery and tried turning it on again. It started working, but got stuck on a blank screen. The only way I can get it off is to take out the battery. I've let the battery completely drain and I'm recharging it now, but it's still doing the same thing. Any suggestions?
