Why are photos appearing to be blank when I try to view them?

I have an Asus memo pad 7 and I have been trying to copy a jpeg image across from my computer and into the DCIM folder on my tablet, however when I try to view the image on my tablet it just appears to be a blank grey color. I've tried restarting my device, but the results are the same. Even when I try to view the image through the file manager it still appears blank. It's not a problem with the picture because it does the same thing with other pictures. Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?
