Perfectly fine all morning. Turned phone off and restarted and SD showed up blank. Don't want to lose anything by reformatting. What do I do?

The last time this happened I restarted, and it was fine. This time no such luck.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Go to Settings>Storage--does it even register there? If so, tap Unmount, then remove the SD card (if it doesn't register at all, then you don't have to tap Unmount). Now put the SD into your computer--can the computer read it? Try running chkdsk to look for bad sectors: [GUIDE] Using chkdsk to fix a corrupted SD card
