Can anyone help with a Samsung Galaxy S6 Active problem?

At random points in the day, my phone will say something about Samsung Gear something and the screen goes black with a tiny "x" in the bottom right corner. I try to click on the "x" to close the program, but the phone won't register that I'm clicking the "x". I can get the phone to the control/reboot screen, and have wiped the cache partition several times (as that was suggested to someone with a similar problem), it worked a few days ago to fix the problem, but it's not working today. Can anyone help with this? I have pictures on the phone I don't want to lose, so I would prefer to fix this without a total reset if possible.
