    I was going to buy an after market 6440 mhz battery from Amazon for my note 4 but I want to be sure that it will not damage the phone in time

    Welcome to Android Central! Using 3rd party batteries that function correctly won't damage the phone. The risk is if the quality control is poor, and the battery leaks or explodes--so I'd stick with well-known companies like Anker, Seidio, or ZeroLemon.
