Why does "OK Google" consistently cut me off?

I am a newbie first-time smartphone owner. I have found, after many experiments, that the rude Google lady cuts me off in the middle of dictation. I am not referring to long (e.g., 30 secs.) dictation but maybe two sentences. How can I teach her better manners? My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime.
