Why can't I use 4G while connected to my car using bluetooth?

Hi,

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and I'm using it handsfree in a VW Touareg. It pairs and works just fine, except that whenever it's connected my 4G is disabled. It's quite annoying when trying to use Google Maps to navigate somewhere.

My wife has an iPhone 5 and it doesn't happen with her phone, so I'm leaning towards it being a phone issue vice a car issue.
Any help greatly appreciated...

Bluetooth and 4G LTE use the same frequency which interferes with lte. Newer devices that support Bluetooth 4.1 solve this issue
