I have a Galaxy S3 which I have rooted. I uninstalled Gallery but it turns out the lock screen needs it for custom wallpapers. Now selecting 'Set Wallpaper > Lock screen' only gives the option to select from the default wallpapers app. I can set the home screen wallpapers no problem.

I tried downloading Gallery from **link removed by moderator** but after attempting to install it says "App not installed".

What's going on? Will I ever be able to customise my lock screen again?

    You have two (2) options:
    1. find a stock ROM for the S3 and extract the gallery and push it to the device - be sure to set the proper read/write permissions after you install it.
    2. Download and install a replacement from the Play Store. It might work; however, if you also deleted anything else then it may not.

In the future, keep a backup of your device's ROM (recovery backup) before tinkering with stuff. It makes fixing things a whole lot easier.
