S4 mini won't work with bluetooth car phone

Got my phone paired to the car ok but when i make calls i can either hear the person on the other end of the line or they can hear me, but no matter what i try i can never get both. It's driving me mad because i know there's probably a simple solution. Thoughts?

It's a Peugeot 2008 and, yes, it's a factory-installed system.

That can be tricky. Older car systems can have compatibility problems with newer phones sometimes. When connected to the car system, go to Settings>Bluetooth​, tap the gear next to the car, and make sure Phone Audio is checked on. Also, make sure you don't have any other Bluetooth devices in the car at the same time that might be competing for the connection.
