Why cant i move photos from messenger back up file to my camera

I had to reset my phone and backed up my photos from my camera into a messenger file and now when I go into camera there's no photos it just takes me to messenger file and Facebook I want to move some photos back to my camera but when I long press on the picture I'm not getting the option to save photo which is what I was doing before to move a picture from Facebook to camera so I can get them printed in a photo shop I didn't download the messenger file it was already there when I backed up my photos I thought this would be the easiest option to keep them all in one place This is on a HTC desire 500_

When you say messenger file did you use an app to do the backup? If you did, use that same app to restore if it provides that function. Otherwise, please clarify what you did and we'll try to provide further help.
