After the drop there was no scratch or any sign of damage, but the phone won't turn on I tried every button combination too. When I connected it with the charger I still saw the red Led light, but nothing happened.

I'm thinking about sending it back to Sony for repair, but that'd be too long to wait. Do you think the battery was damaged? if so, can I just go buy another battery for it?

    Welcome to AC.

To do that would be a gamble. The drop may have caused other damage. Diagnosis by a repairer may be the best option.
