How to stop apps downloading even after a factory reset?

I've read about many others with similar issues of apps downloading without permission. My Android table was doing that too, so I did a factory reset, TWICE. Removed sim card & memory card, so it's completely empty. Yet, It still downloading new apps!
very weird...
any other suggestions?

After a factory reset be sure to not enable the automatic restore/backup option. Also, go into the Play Store and disable the the auto update apps: open Play Store - menu - settings - auto update apps - do not update.

Hello David, welcome to the forums!

There are many reports in these forums about similar issues. In most cases the culprit was a memory booster app. If you have one installed in your phone you could try to disable or even uninstall it. Cleaner apps, RAM boosters and such can cause some problems.

As Skrmagnus said maybe it was automatically installed after the factory reset.
