Welcome to Android Central! An integral part of setting up your fingerprint unlock was to select a backup PIN, in case the fingerprint sensor failed. It's your responsibility to remember these things--think hard, what might it have been?

If you fail the unlock enough times, does it ask for your Google credentials?
