My phone is wet and the media sound is off, what should I do?

My phone is wet and the media sound is off

I accidently wet my phone but only in the bottom. There was no significant damge but when i try to open any video or music the sound is not on although the ringtone and alarm are working. i tried to turn the volume up but it's not working. The device also turn it down as soon as i turn it up.

I don't know if i should open the phone back cover or not. i just turn it off and left it on rice.

Leave the device turned off and let is sit in rice. That's the suggestion many say will help pull the moisture from the inside of the device; however, if damage is already done it likely can't be reversed without repairing or replacing the phone. For this, contact the device manufacturer.
